The Rundown: Frankenstein and Lilja take to the sea and discover more dangers in the new world.

Frankenstein and Lilja find themselves along the shore and come upon a creature and their young and the boat they use. After learning about why they fish along the shore, the pair are shown how they can create their own. What they don’t know is that the dark creature known as Murk continues to stalk them. Unfortunately, Murk is hampered by the sun and its need to get into the darkness allows for the pair to take to the sea.

As they make their way across the sea, they are attacked by creatures. As the pair fight through the night, Frankenstein receives a vision about the origin of the creatures and wakes up on the shore of an island where he realizes that they are not alone.

The Story: The writers continue to create an intriguing and entertaining world in this series. The story is brilliantly balanced between the fantastical world and the characters within it. I love the sense of discovery that is found in this series through the eyes of the characters and the interactions between Lilja and Frankenstein are fun and sweet. I love the tension of Murk on their heels and look forward to seeing what happens next.

The Art: Bergting crafts some beautifully detailed art throughout the issue and crafts a visually stunning world for the characters and the reader to explore.
